Hot Potato? GRENADE Found on a Conveyor Belt at a French Fry Factory – iHeartRadio

A worker at a French fry factory in New Zealand was working the conveyor belt on Tuesday, when he spotted something strange among the potatoes, and picked it up.
And that’s when he realized, it looked like an old GRENADE.
The bomb squad was called in . . . and after an investigation, they determined that it was a training version of a common World War Two hand grenade. It contained NO explosives, thankfully.
The worker said that he’s usually looking to spot stones that were inadvertently harvested . . . and that’s what he thought it was at first.
He cleaned off some of the mud . . . suspected that it might be a grenade . . . and called over an engineer, who’d, quote, "seen a lot of war movies." That’s when they decided to bring in some experts.
The manager commended the worker for keeping his cool as he realized what it might be. He also said that if the guy had NOT spotted the grenade, it WOULD’VE been removed later in the process.
